Bungalows @ 116 & 118 Cove Drive
Situated at Sentosa, the houses’ relationship with the sea is expressed by the unobstructed view of the scene and the full height glass windows create a beautiful panorama of the natural environment. The water feature surrounding the house gives the idea of the continuity from the sea, visually and aesthetically. It is touted as an “exclusive oceanfront residential community” and as Singapore’s “only true seafront residential property”. In response to this, the Bungalows in Sentosa Cove feature a unique “Origami Roof” concept whereby the roof’s irregular form is a flourish of drama and dynamism. The roof therefore is meant to enhance the sea views from within. This goes hand in hand with the rooftop garden from which people can enjoy the sun and the sea from the comfort of their own home.
The sophisticated details in the frames that hold the glass planes together give a notion of elegance and subtlety in the architecture. Each of the spaces within the houses allows ample light flow, lightening the spaces, characterizing it with warmth and homeliness, yet still retaining its intended sophistication and luxury.
