22 Oei Tiong Ham Park
This house was designed in 2009 and completed in May 2011.
It nestles within a leafy upmarket housing district in Singapore.
The approach to the house is via a short access road that used to be part of a larger estate before sub-division.
The house is organised in a linear fashion, parallel to the water feature in between blocks and the swimming pool.
The space between blocks allows natural lights and cross ventilates the inner spaces of the building.
Internal spaces between blocks are interconnected with stone/timber slat bridges and glass enclosure.
The design engages the surrounding greenery while protecting the owners’ privacy through large pivoting screens and visually connecting the internal spaces with the surrounding vistas.
